Visit of the Anglican Financial Care to the Diocese

The Diocese of Polynesia was honoured to welcome representatives from Anglican Financial Care (AFC) for two days.

The team spent several days meeting with Diocesan leadership, clergy, and administrative staff of the Diocese. The visit served both a pastoral and a practical purpose, offering valuable insights into pensions, investment strategies, and clergy well-being.

A key focus of the visit was to equip clergy, especially, and administration staff in our Diocesan office with a clearer understanding of the purpose of AFC in partnership with the Diocese, including retirement fund options, entitlements, and best practices in parish financial management. It was noted that the visit of the team from the AFC was empowering and the Diocese finds a positive way forward in how we serve from the Diocese with regards to the matter of Pension and Clergy Wellbeing. The meeting also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to ensure that the unique pastoral and financial needs of Polynesian clergy and family are addressed.

Following the visit, the Diocese and AFC are exploring further opportunities for training and awareness for the Diocese’s clergy and widows, widower, and their families. As the Diocese of Polynesia continues to adapt and grow in faith and mission, partnerships like this one are crucial in ensuring that its leaders and members are not only spiritually nourished but also practically supported.
