A spirit of anticipation and purpose marked the journey north as The Most Reverend Sione Silongo Uluilakepa and Co-Vicar General, Reverend Salacieli Koroi, arrived in Labasa on Saturday, 9 May 2026. Their visit set the stage for a significant moment in the life of the Anglican Church in the Northern Division—the installation of Reverend Orisi Vuki as the new Vicar of St Thomas Anglican Church and Archdeacon of the Vanua Levu & Taveuni Episcopal Unit.

The following day, Sunday 10 May 2026, the bells of St Thomas Anglican Church rang out in celebration, calling the faithful together for a deeply meaningful and Spirit-filled induction service. Clergy, parishioners, and visitors from across the region gathered to witness and share in this important milestone, one that signals a new chapter of leadership and ministry in the North.

The ceremony was conducted with reverence and joy, presided over by The Most Reverend Archbishop Sione Uluilakepa, who formally led the installation and delivered a powerful and inspiring charge to the newly appointed Archdeacon. He was assisted by the Co-Vicar General, Reverend Salacieli Koroi, whose presence further underscored the significance of the occasion.

Reverend Orisi Vuki now steps into his dual role at a time of renewed hope and unity for the Episcopal Unit in Vanua Levu and Taveuni. His leadership is warmly welcomed, with many expressing confidence in his pastoral care and vision for strengthening the faith community across the region.

The gathering was also a testament to the strength of fellowship within the Church, as members traveled from near and far to witness the occasion and offer their support. Their presence reflected a shared commitment to the mission and future of our Anglican community in the North.

As the Vanua Levu & Taveuni Episcopal Unit moves forward under Reverend Orisi’s guidance, this installation service stands as both a celebration and a beginning—one rooted in faith, service, and a collective hope for what lies ahead.
